Risk Disclosure

1. Business Performance Risk

Your revenue, profitability, customer acquisition cost, conversion rate, and other business outcomes depend on many factors outside our control — including market conditions, product quality, customer satisfaction, competition, and your own operational execution. We do not guarantee that use of the Service will result in any particular business outcome, such as increased sales, reduced costs, or improved customer retention.

2. Data & Security Risk

While we use industry-standard security measures (encryption in transit, hashed passwords, access controls, regular backups), no system is perfectly secure. The risk of unauthorized access, data loss, or service interruption can never be fully eliminated.

• Your responsibility. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential, enabling two-factor authentication where available, and reviewing access logs in your dashboard.
• Backups. We perform regular backups but recommend that you maintain your own independent backups of critical data, particularly product catalogs and customer records.
• Data residency. Your data may be stored in data centers in different jurisdictions. By using the Service, you accept the transfer and processing of your data as described in our Privacy Policy.

3. Payment Processing Risk

The Service integrates with third-party payment processors (Paystack, Flutterwave) and simulated gateways for local testing. We are not responsible for:

• Delays, failures, or chargebacks at the payment processor.
• Changes in payment processor pricing, terms, or supported countries/currencies.
• Losses resulting from misconfigured checkout, tax, or shipping settings in your workspace.

You are responsible for understanding the fee structure and dispute policies of your chosen payment provider. Archevo does not hold or custody your sales proceeds at any point — funds move directly between your customer and your own payment account.

4. Third-Party Integration Risk

The Service may integrate with third-party apps, plugins, AI providers, and APIs. We do not control those services. Their availability, accuracy, security, pricing, and terms may change without notice and may affect the Service. Use integrations at your own risk and review the third party's terms before connecting it to your workspace.

This includes AI-generated features within the Service (such as product suggestions, restocking insights, or automated assistant replies): these are provided for informational and operational assistance only, may occasionally be inaccurate, and should be reviewed by you before being relied upon for business-critical decisions.

5. Service Availability

We aim to keep the Service available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to scheduled maintenance, security incidents, infrastructure failures, or events beyond our control. Where feasible, we will give advance notice of planned maintenance, and will notify affected tenants directly in the event of an outage impacting their storefront or checkout.

6. Changes to Features

We may add, modify, or remove features at any time. We will try to give reasonable notice when a material change affects your workflow, but we are not obligated to maintain any specific feature indefinitely. Subscription fees may be adjusted with at least 30 days' notice, as described in our Terms of Service.

7. No Professional Advice

Archevo is a software platform, not a financial, legal, accounting, or tax adviser. Nothing in the Service — including analytics, forecasts, AI-generated suggestions, or business insights — constitutes professional advice, and none of it should be relied on as a substitute for the judgment of a qualified professional. You should consult a qualified accountant, lawyer, or tax adviser before making significant decisions based on information provided by the Service.

8. Regulatory & Tax Responsibility

You are solely responsible for:

• Complying with laws and regulations applicable to your business (consumer protection, data protection, advertising, and any sector-specific rules that apply to what you sell).
• Calculating, collecting, and remitting applicable taxes (VAT and other applicable levies) on transactions processed through the Service.
• Issuing invoices, receipts, and other records required by the Federal Inland Revenue Service or your applicable state/local tax authority.
• Maintaining the business registrations and licenses required to lawfully operate your business.

The Service provides tools to help with these tasks (such as invoice generation and sales records) but does not act as your tax agent, accountant, or filing service.

9. Jurisdiction

This disclosure is provided under the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, where Archevo operates. If you or your customers are located outside Nigeria, local consumer protection, financial regulation, and data protection laws in your jurisdiction may give you additional rights, in addition to those described here.

10. Acceptance

By using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accept the risks described above. If you do not accept these risks, you should not use the Service.
